The Land of Beautiful Horses: Cappadocia

The Land of Beautiful Horses: Cappadocia

Our 7th grade students participated in a Cappadocia trip on October 2-3, organized by the Turkish and Social Studies Department. During this trip, our students had the opportunity to explore the region’s unique natural and cultural richness on site. As part of the trip, our students attended a traditional pottery workshop in Avanos, where they experienced the joy of learning through hands-on engagement with our cultural crafts. At Özkonak Underground City, they examined the living spaces of past civilizations and took a journey through history. During visits to Çavuşin Village, Göreme, and Uçhisar Castle, our students closely observed the historical texture of Cappadocia; while in Pigeon Valley and Devrent Valley, they discovered the unique beauty shaped by nature. Through this trip, our students enhanced their skills in observation, inquiry, and connecting historical and geographical knowledge with real-life experiences.
