The Importance of Accurate Information in Sexual Development CSEP Parent Training Completed
The Sexual Health Education Program is an age-structured education program that enables children and adolescents to get to know their bodies, their perceptions and judgments about themselves, their choices, and what they think about other children and adolescents with a holistic approach, and supports them in accordance with their sexual development processes. Within the scope of this education program, the parent leg of the Sexual Health Education Program was delivered online to middle school parents on Tuesday, April 22nd. Children who are supported with the right information by their parents during their sexual development process recognize their bodies and know their boundaries, understand that their bodies are their own, private and valuable, know how to stop boundary violations, know how to protect themselves from abuse and harassment, understand the changes in adolescence and reduce their anxiety about them, make conscious and responsible decisions about sexual behavior, and evaluate information coming from wrong channels. We hope that our presentation was useful for our parents.
