At Irmak Schools, our main goals in physical education are to raise students who are physically and mentally healthy, who can approach complex situations in a solution-oriented manner, who work collectively, who think analytically, who respect differences in their social lives, who have internalized the concepts of empathy and sympathy, who celebrate winning and accept losing, and who are physically and mentally strong in character.
Irmak students are expected to graduate from middle school with the following achievements:
- Acquire healthy life skills,
- Control their bodies and develop spatial awareness,
- Active participation in sports activities,
- Gain the ability to play games,
- Discover and develop talents,
- Gain new skills and experiences through a variety of physical activities,
- Develop cooperative behaviors to be part of a team or group,
- Taking appropriate safety precautions when participating in physical activities.
Physical education classes at Irmak Schools are structured to develop our students’ life skills in line with vertical plans enriched with national and international curricula. By its very nature, physical education classes enable our students to reinforce the achievements of different disciplines. Our program is structured at the K-12 level and aims to contribute to the physical, cognitive and emotional development of our students and to ensure their lifelong participation in physical activities. Every student who graduates from Irmak Schools is specifically introduced to the sport of “Tennis” and has a well-equipped culture about all other sports branches.
