Lonians in the Light of Science
Our 5th grade students participated in the Ephesus – Pergamon trip on 22-23 November as part of the trip organised by the Turkish – Social Department. Visiting the ancient city of Ephesus and Bergama, one of the most important centres of the ancient period, our students gained in-depth information about the social, cultural and economic structure of the period and had the opportunity to see the cultural heritage elements in the book ‘The Skeleton in the Lost Library’ that they read in the language and literature course. They also listened to a collection of Greek folk songs prepared for them by our music teachers on the way to Şirince, an old Greek village, and traced the traces of different beliefs and cultures in Anatolia.
