Germany Mathematikum Field Trip
Between April 25 – 28, 2024, we visited the Mathematikum in Giessen, Germany. In this museum, where mathematics is not only a subject of lectures, but also relates mathematical principles to real life and makes students realize the place of mathematical principles in daily life, students had the opportunity to experience many interactive experiences such as making geometric shapes, optical illusions, mathematical modeling.
Our students also had the chance to visit the cultural symbols of Germany such as Goethe’s House, Franfurt Cathedral, Heildelberg, a university town integrated with the Neckar River, BMW Museum in Munich where technological developments are exhibited and Allianz Arena Stadium.
