A Discovery-Filled Experience at the Şirince Mathematics Village
On November 21–22, our 7th and 8th grade students experienced a unique opportunity to go beyond theoretical knowledge and connect mathematics with real life during their visit to the “Ali Nesin Mathematics Village” in Şirince. By attending lessons with the renowned mathematician Ali Nesin, students explored abstract mathematical concepts in depth and discovered their applications in everyday life.
On the second day of the trip, students visited the “Tales Mathematics Museum” in Aydın, where they participated in interactive workshops that highlighted the role of mathematical principles in daily life. They had the chance to engage in hands-on activities such as constructing geometric
shapes, performing probability calculations, exploring optical illusions, and experimenting with mathematical modeling.
