Turkish Language Festival
On Friday, September 25, our middle school students took part in an activity held as part of Turkish Language Festival. The activity aimed to raise awareness of the importance of our mother tongue, encourage the use of Turkish equivalents instead of foreign words, and promote greater awareness of language use. As part of the activity, students carried the T-shirts and banners they had prepared during their Turkish lessons and began their awareness campaign at the school entrance. They then continued the activity throughout the cafeteria and the primary, middle, and high school buildings, sharing their messages with the wider school community. Through this activity, students were also given the opportunity to further develop the IB MYP Learner Profile attributes of being “Caring” and “Thinkers.”
