Irmak Talks 2026: Inspiring Speeches from Our Students
Organized by the Middle School English Department, Irmak Talks was successfully held for the second time on March 3, 2026. In a short time, the event has become a meaningful and inspiring platform within our school community, providing students with a powerful space to share their voices. Students who wished to participate were evaluated through a video application process. The selected speakers were carefully prepared to develop their public speaking skills, express themselves effectively, and maximize the impact of their messages. In their talks, students shared personal experiences and challenges while also raising awareness about global environmental and social issues in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). During the event, Grade 5 and 6 students presented to their respective age groups, while Grade 7 and 8 students delivered talks tailored to their own levels. In addition, other students contributed as hosts and through musical performances, transforming the event into a rich and multifaceted learning experience. Irmak Talks supports the development of students’ critical thinking, effective communication, and public speaking skills, while also fostering a strong sense of global citizenship. Through this platform, students become more aware of their individual and social responsibilities and are encouraged to take meaningful steps toward the future.
