6th Grade Trip to Istanbul Painting and Sculpture Museum

On Wednesday, February 25, a cultural field trip was organized with the participation of our 6th grade students to theIstanbul Museum of Painting and Sculpture, which hosts Türkiye’s first and most comprehensive collection of plastic arts. Throughout the visit, our students had the opportunity to closely examine the development of Turkish art through paintings and sculptures spanning from the 19th century to the present day.

By observing and comparing styles, techniques, and themes from different periods, students enriched their ability to interpret artworks, developed aesthetic awareness, and deepened their understanding of cultural heritage. This meaningful museum experience not only strengthened their interest in the arts but also contributed to gaining a holistic perspective on the history of Turkish art.
