Proud Success of our Middle School Student Damla Yüce

Our 7th grade student Damla Yüce took the stage as a chorister in the world-famous opera “Carmen” staged by the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet and made us very proud.
Composed by Georges Bizet, “Carmen” is a unique work that crosses borders with its music, deeply affects the audience with its characters, and depicts freedom, passion and love in the most powerful way. This unforgettable opera met with art lovers at the Atatürk Cultural Center Türk Telekom Opera Hall.
Based on the novel of the same name by French writer Prosper Mérimée, the libretto was written by Ludovic Halévy and Henri Meilhac. Although it caused great controversy when it was first staged in Paris in 1875, in time it became a universal success and today it is one of the most frequently staged operas in the world. Conducted by İbrahim Yazıcı and staged by Vincenzo Grisostomi Travaglini, the choral conductor of the work is Paolo Villa.
We sincerely congratulate our student Damla Yüce, who stands out with her interest in art and disciplined music studies, and wish her continued success in her journey full of art.
