Inspired by Aziz Nesin’s Work: A Successful Adaptation&Getting on the Stage by the Creative Drama and Theater Club
Our Creative Drama and Theater Club students staged a modern interpretation of Aziz Nesin’s “Pırtlatan Bal”. On Thursday, April 10, at Irmak Schools Cultural Center, our students performed an original adaptation of the work using the deconstruction technique. In this process, which was carried out with official permission from the Nesin Foundation, both the stage design and the performances were prepared with great devotion by our students. In this project, our students not only performed on stage, but also developed team spirit, creativity and critical thinking skills. They brought Aziz Nesin’s sharp observations on society to the stage by blending them with the universal values of love, respect, empathy and solidarity in his work. Our aim was to increase social sensitivity through theater and to present a thought-provoking message to the audience. Our students successfully achieved this goal. We are proud to present Aziz Nesin’s valuable work to the audience by reinterpreting it from a contemporary perspective.
