On Tuesday, November 28th, a panel discussion on “Children’s Rights” was organized at our school with the participation of our 7th grade students. The panel was bilingual in Turkish and English. İmge ÇETİNKAYA “Refugee Children”, Öykü YAMAN “Children’s Right to Live in Humanitarian Conditions” and Kanat ÖZBAYRAÇ “Children’s Right to Adequate and Balanced Nutrition” made speeches in Turkish, while Ayşe Nil ÜNLÜ “Children’s Right to Education”, Deniz Leon ÇOPUROĞLU “Child Labor” and Serena ZORER “Children’s Right to Play” made speeches in English.
The panel was moderated by Ece SANALP and Meryem ÇELİKER with the participation of all middle school students.
Prior to the panel, the issue of children’s rights was emphasized through various in-class activities and student products were exhibited on the school boards. The activities aimed to support “inquirer and caring” learner profiles.
We congratulate all our students who took part in our panel.
