8th Graders Harbiye Military Museum Visit

Our 8th graders visited the Harbiye Military Museum, as an event organized by the Turkish – Social Department on Wednesday, March 8. Our students had a chance to internalize the achievements of the Revolution History and “Kemalism”, examine the works of certain periods in Turkish history, and have in-depth information about the education life of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

The works related to many historical subjects such as the Foundation of the Turkish Army, the Seljuk Period, the Establishment and Rising Periods of the Ottoman Empire, the Conquest of Istanbul and the Çanakkale Wars were interesting for our students. The most striking part of the museum, where large-scale dioramas, maps, light panels, sculptures and oil paintings and original works were used, was undoubtedly the classroom where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk spent his student years.
