PYP Portfolio Festival: A Celebration of Growth
This week, we celebrated our students’ learning journey through our Portfolio Festival, an important component of the PYP approach that encourages reflection, growth, and student ownership of learning.
During this special event, each class prepared its own portfolio presentation and invited families and friends to explore their learning experiences throughout the year. Students proudly showcased their projects, inquiries, and unit outcomes developed during their PYP units, sharing the knowledge, skills, and understandings they gained along the way.
The Portfolio Festival provided students with an opportunity to reflect on their achievements while demonstrating key 21st-century skills such as communication, self-management, research, and collaboration. As they presented their work, students strengthened their confidence and self-expression skills, while families gained valuable insight into their children’s academic and personal growth.
Following the presentations, students enjoyed a variety of games and fun activities that celebrated their accomplishments and the strong sense of community built throughout the year. The event highlighted the importance of the learning process itself, emphasizing reflection, growth, and meaningful engagement.
