Our Kindergarten students visited the Butterfly Farm
Our Kindergarten 5-year-old students visited the Butterfly Farm as part of their PYP unit ‘How the World Works’. After arriving at the farm, our students watched the movie “The Story of the Butterfly” with a 20-minute cine-vision show. In this movie, our students learned about the biological structure, metamorphosis, and life cycle of the butterfly and visited the climate-controlled butterfly greenhouse. Here, they observed each stage of the butterfly’s life cycle live and observed each of the egg, caterpillar, pupa, and adulthood stages. They had the opportunity to learn with fun by walking between colorful butterflies, tropical plants, and flowers.
