Grandparents Day

Irmak Kindergarten students had very special guests in the past few days. The grandparents of our students have been invited to school to do an activity, see the school environment and join in a circle time.  After a long pandemic full of social distancing, our students were so happy to invite extended family onto the school grounds and show them what they do. Our students also upheld some traditions like welcoming their guests with cologne, listening to nostalgic music while doing the activity and serving guests lemonade and cupcakes before themselves. All students showcased their Caring and Communicator learner profiles by taking part in the day and welcoming their grandparents, showing them to their chairs and helping them join in circle time, also reminding them to tidy up after the activity.
