“A parent seminar titled ‘The Impact of Thinking Skills on Education and Life Skills’ was held.”
The cognitive processes that shape students’ learning and life skills are regarded as an integral part of their academic, social, and emotional development. At our school, the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Department carries out activities within the scope of the Thinking Skills Program to support students’ cognitive abilities. Emphasis is placed on cooperation between families and the school to ensure that students’ development in cognitive processes— which fundamentally affect their learning experiences— can be jointly monitored and supported. In this context, on Monday, October 6th, between 11:00 and 12:00, a parent seminar titled “The Impact of Thinking Skills on Education and Life Skills” was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tamer Ergin, who has long provided consultancy on cognitive development. We hope that the insights and exchanges from the seminar will be beneficial to our students’ developmental processes.
