The “Second Step” program, which is based on the importance of social and emotional skills in readiness to learn, is implemented in our school. The “Second Step” Program is a program that aims to prevent possible violence in the school environment by supporting the social and emotional development of children. It contributes to the formation of a positive classroom climate by supporting students’ social and emotional skills. A positive classroom climate is the most important key for learning to take place. Step Two is a research-proven program.

Second Step lessons introduce and teach children skills with photo lesson cards and daily life videos. All students learn by practicing the new skills they have learned through the “reenactment” method, which is an important part of the Second Step lessons.

On the basis of the program; There are 3 units including “Empathy” – “Impulse Control and Problem Solving” – “Anger Management”. “Family Letters” and “Skill Promotion Letters” are shared with families so that they can apply the skill learned in the Second Step courses at home and follow the work done in the classroom with their families.
