Scientific Discovery with a TÜBİTAK Research Assistant

Our third-grade students participated in an inspiring science event designed to foster curiosity and connect classroom learning with real-world experiences. During the session, TÜBİTAK Research Assistant İsa Kiyat introduced the topics of electricity and light through hands-on activities and interactive demonstrations.

Through engaging experiments and practical applications, students explored the fundamental principles of electricity and light while gaining a deeper understanding of their importance in science, technology, and everyday life. The event also provided valuable insights into TÜBİTAK’s role in scientific research and innovation in Türkiye.

Throughout the program, students had the opportunity to ask questions directly to a research professional, experiencing firsthand how scientists investigate, discover, and solve problems. This interaction encouraged inquiry, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation for the scientific process.

In line with the educational vision of Irmak Schools, which aims to nurture inquisitive, reflective, and lifelong learners, the event supported the development of students’ scientific literacy and strengthened their interest in STEM fields. By connecting with a scientist and engaging in experiential learning, students were inspired to continue exploring the world through curiosity and discovery.
