Miniaturk Trip: Time Travel of Houses
We took our 2nd grade students to Miniatürk during the “Our Place and Time” theme houses unit gave our students the opportunity to see concretely what they have learned about history, culture and architecture. During our trip, we had the chance to see the impact of houses on climate, how houses evolved in different time periods, and to explore home architecture from past to present. With the curious questions and active participation of our students, we gained a deeper understanding of the meaning of historical houses and their change over time. Each model in Miniatürk offered our students the opportunity to experience our history and culture live.
