Grade 4 – “No Poverty” PYP Exhibition Group – Carrying Kindness Project
As part of their PYP Exhibition journey, our students exploring the theme “No Poverty” transformed their central idea, “Small actions can create a big impact,” into meaningful action through a community support initiative.
Believing in the power of solidarity and collective responsibility in addressing poverty, our students launched a food donation campaign for individuals and families with limited financial resources. Guided by the slogan “Carrying Kindness,” the project encouraged empathy, compassion, and active citizenship while helping students understand the importance of contributing to their communities.
Led by Ada Kaygılaroğlu, Aslı Ayvaz, Ayşe Şenefe, Beren Araz, Duru Ercan, Kerem Oral, and Nil Camadan, the initiative demonstrated the strength of the Irmak community and highlighted how individual efforts can create meaningful social impact when united around a common purpose.
In line with the educational vision of Irmak Schools, which aims to nurture caring, responsible, and internationally minded learners, this project enabled students to take meaningful action, develop social awareness, and engage with real-world issues through service and collaboration.
We sincerely thank all students and parents who contributed to this campaign and helped make the project even more meaningful. We are proud of our students for demonstrating empathy, leadership, and a commitment to creating positive change in their communities.
