Erenköy Fire Station Visit
Our first-grade students and teachers visited the Erenköy Fire Station on Thursday, October 22nd.
As part of our PYP unit ‘’How We Organize Ourselves’’ our students explored how the community they belong to functions and discovered how different professions and roles contribute to the community. They had the opportunity to observe firefighters roles and responsibilities and how they work collaboratively in emergency situations.
Through this real-life experience, our students recognized the importance of the roles and responsibilities individuals take on in helping a community function in an organized and safe way.
We inquired, observed, explored and made connections between our learning and real life.
