4th Grade Eurasia Tunnel Museum Trip

As part of the Social Studies unit “Science, Technology and Society,” Grade 4 students and teachers from Irmak Okulları visited the Eurasia Tunnel Museum for an educational field trip.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to examine the equipment used in the construction of the Eurasia Tunnel, as well as historical documents and photographs related to the project. They gained detailed information about the tunnel’s construction process, engineering systems, and operational structure while discovering one of the most significant milestones in Istanbul’s transportation history.

In line with the interdisciplinary learning approach of Irmak Okulları, this experience enabled students to observe the impact of science and technology on society, recognize the importance of engineering in daily life, and understand how technological developments contribute to urban living.

The trip also supported students in developing their observation, inquiry, and research skills while helping them connect history, science, and technology with real-life experiences.
