The Richness of Our Language Project Highlights the Beauty of Turkish!
As part of the “Richness of Our Language Project” at our school, numerous activities were carried out with our primary school learners. Word games that showcased the depth and richness of the Turkish language were organized, and creative writing activities supported the learners’ imagination. Activities focused on proverbs and idioms introduced the cultural heritage of our language, while poetry and story-writing exercises developed their writing skills across different text types.
Through these activities, the unique beauty of Turkish was introduced to our learners, fostering a deeper love and connection to our language. Additionally, these efforts enhanced their expression skills and significantly contributed to preserving our cultural heritage. The project demonstrated how Turkish can be used as a powerful and creative tool. For, as it is well known, “Freedom begins with our language!”
