Why Not? An Interview with Hilal Ateş Öztan, Author of Why Not?

“On Monday, October 16, our 2nd-grade students had an engaging interview with Hilal ATEŞ ÖZTAN, the author of a Turkish book called “Neden Olmasın ki?”. Mrs. ÖZTAN initiated the event by emphasizing the significance of asking questions, understanding the research process, correctly using sources, and upholding the principle of academic honesty.

Mrs. ÖZTAN continued the interview by having a motivation chart created for the hero in the story. He also introduced the concept of the PYP learner profiles and encouraged students to identify which learner profiles the story’s heroes embodied. Students successfully pinpointed relevant learner profiles and shared their observations with their peers. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Hilal ATEŞ ÖZTAN for orchestrating this enjoyable and educational activity centered around learner profiles for our students.”
