We welcomed Yakacık Sevgi Evi students
On April 26th, our school hosted an event where the sibling students from Yakacık Hatice Abbas Halim Çocuk Sevgi Evi were welcomed by the Irmak Anatolian High School CIP students. This interaction provided an experience where cultural understanding, empathy, and social responsibility were reinforced among the students, while also highlighting IB learner profile attributes.
Activities such as robotics, jewelry design, and visual arts were conducted to create an environment aimed at enhancing students’ caring and open-mindedness, in line with IB learner profile attributes. This activity also provided all students with the opportunity to develop empathy by embracing different perspectives and understanding and sharing cultural differences.
Our students were appreciated by the students and teachers of Yakacık Sevgi Evi for their dedication and hospitality. This valuable interaction once again demonstrated that IB education not only fosters academic growth but also instills a deep understanding of global citizenship and international values.
