March 21 World Poetry Day
As part of the “March 21 World Poetry Day” event organized jointly by the Turkish Language and Literature and Turkish Department every year to develop our students’ interest in poetry and to ensure that poetry becomes widespread and adopted as a universal language among people, our students distributed the poems of famous poets of Turkish literature to all students, teachers, administrators and employees of Irmak Schools in envelopes with the inscription “I HAVE A POEM FOR YOU!”. In addition, a group of our students, together with their teachers, presented poems to the Kadıköy residents on Bağdat Street, where we breathe the same air, saying “Today is March 21, World Poetry Day; There is a Poem for You!”.
