We Commemorate Cahit Arf: A Day Illuminated by Mathematics!
As the Department of Mathematics, we organized a special event to commemorate Prof. Dr. Cahit ARF, one of the most important figures in the history of Turkish mathematics, and to introduce his unique contributions to the world of science to our students. On this meaningful day, our 9th and 10th grade students formed separate groups at their own levels and demonstrated their knowledge and collaboration skills in quiz competitions. Starting with a video highlighting Cahit Arf’s contributions to mathematics and creating an exciting competitive environment, our students had the opportunity to develop their mathematical thinking and problem solving skills while reinforcing important 21st century skills such as teamwork and communication.
