Art is one of the foremost areas where the individual is provided with the oppotunity of expression, and the development of creativity applicable in all areas of life, valuing and appreciating own and other cultures.

The goal of visual arts lessons in middle years education is not to create and cultivate artists, but art loving individuals. It is only possible through art education, to train, mental ability and processes, and perception, imagination, reasoning, senses and sensations as well as association in people who deal with art and can evaluate art when s/he sees one.

Throughout the Middle Years Visual Arts classes at Irmak Schools, the aim is to cultivate students who adopt a critical prespective and has a high level of self esteem, enjoys art, thinks globally, creative and productive. They accept art as part of their life and are able to transform their emotions, thoughts and observations into art designs and are sensitive towards our historical and cultural values.
