Sait Faik ABASIYANIK
In the cool waters of the sea, he found freedom; in the flutter of a bird’s wings, dreams; and in the silence of nature, peace. Sait Faik, the powerful voice of Turkish literature, infused the spirit of nature into literature through his works. Inspired by this profound connection, our student Batu BAŞBUĞ brought together the richness of words and the depths of the seas in his creation, “The Dictionary of Sait Faik Abasıyanık’s Fish.” With this unique work, he earned first place in the “MEB Richness of Our Language Dictionary Design Competition” for the Kadıköy district.
We congratulate our student on this special project, where the sea bass, mackerels, gilt-head breams, turbot, and many more vividly brought to life in Sait Faik’s descriptive works find new existence, blending literature with the deep blue. We wish him continued success.
