İstanbul Museum of Painting And Sculpture Tour
On Friday, December 1, our high school elective visual arts students took a trip to the Istanbul Painting and Sculpture Museum, Turkey’s first plastic arts museum. In the museum, which is the most comprehensive archive of our centuries-old history, many important works were examined and interpreted. While focusing on period styles, composition, form, and color usage in Turkish art, the social reflections reflected by the paintings were also discussed. With the understanding of contemporary museology and examples of Turkish art, it was aimed to open new windows to our students’ perspectives on art.
