Irmak Student Damla Sönmez Achieves National Surfing Success
We are proud to announce that our high school student, Damla Sönmez, achieved remarkable success at the “TYF 2025 Wave Surfing Turkey Championship”, held on June 10–11, 2025 in Şile, Istanbul.
Damla secured first place in three categories:
• U18 Longboard Women
• U18 Shortboard Women
• Open Shortboard Women
She also won second place in the Open Longboard Women category.
Thanks to her outstanding performance, Damla has been selected for the Turkish National Surfing Team.
We wholeheartedly congratulate Damla and wish her continued success on the national and international stage.
