In Dialogue with Contemporary Art: Visit to İstanbul Modern
On Tuesday, 25 November 2025, a cultural and arts trip was organized to the İstanbul Museum of Modern Art with our high school elective Visual Arts students. As Türkiye’s first museum dedicated to modern and contemporary art, İstanbul Modern offered our students the opportunity to experience diverse artistic disciplines such as painting, sculpture, photography, video, and installation works within the same space.
Throughout the visit, students closely examined the artworks, observing the relationship between artists and material, their modes of expression, and the evolution of contemporary art over time. This experience allowed them to engage with significant works firsthand and deepen their understanding of visual culture through direct interaction with contemporary artistic practices.
