High School Students Meet LaunchX President Forest Richter
Irmak Schools continues to bring students together with inspiring professionals from different fields. Forest Richter, President of LaunchX, met with Irmak Schools High School students to share his entrepreneurial experience, insights from the business world, and valuable advice for young people interested in entrepreneurship.
An experienced startup operator, Richter has worked across the startup ecosystem, contributing to the operations and growth of venture-backed companies as well as founding and selling his own venture. Today, as President of the LaunchX Entrepreneurship Program, an international entrepreneurship program for high school students, he works closely with young entrepreneurs as they develop their ideas and turn them into real-world ventures. Prior to the seminar, members of the Irmak Schools High School Entrepreneurship Club had the opportunity to meet with Richter in a smaller group. Students exchanged ideas about their current initiatives and future projects and received valuable mentorship, feedback, and guidance on developing their ideas.
Richter then addressed all High School students, highlighting that developing an entrepreneurial mindset is not simply about having a good idea. It also requires taking action, experimenting, learning from mistakes, and having the courage to start again.
Emphasizing the message, “Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. If you fail, try again,” Richter encouraged students to see failure as a natural part of the entrepreneurial journey. Drawing on his own experiences, he encouraged them to think creatively, take bold steps, and turn challenges into opportunities for learning and growth.
The interactive session, enriched by our students’ questions and active participation, offered new perspectives on entrepreneurship and encouraged students to approach their own ideas with greater curiosity, confidence, and initiative.
The Irmak Schools High School Entrepreneurship Club will continue to welcome inspiring guest speakers from the world of entrepreneurship, providing students with opportunities to learn from real-world experiences, develop an entrepreneurial mindset, and gain the confidence to turn their ideas into action.
