Core Exhibition: TOK Exhibition and CAS Showcase

On June 16, 2026, the garden of Irmak Mansion hosted the Core Exhibition of our Grade 11 IBDP students. Held between 5 PM and 7 PM, this event brought together two distinct yet deeply connected components: the TOK Exhibition and the CAS Showcase.

As part of the TOK Exhibition, each student selected three objects to explore the question: “How does TOK manifest itself in the physical world around us?” For each object, students formulated a knowledge question and presented their thinking in a written commentary of approximately 950 words, examining how objects represent knowledge and how different perspectives can lead to varied interpretations. In the CAS Showcase, students shared the Creativity, Activity, and Service experiences they had engaged in throughout the year, reflecting on what they had learned, how they had grown, and the impact they had made on those around them. Rather than simply presenting a record of activities, students demonstrated the depth of their personal development and the meaningful connections they had built with their communities.

The exhibition extended well beyond a formal assessment task, becoming a vibrant space for dialogue and shared reflection among students, teachers, and visitors from across the school. Guests engaged with the intellectual depth of the TOK displays and the personal stories behind each student’s CAS journey, finding themselves reflecting on their own understanding of knowledge, growth, and responsibility.

The Core Exhibition brought to life two pillars at the heart of the IBDP: critical inquiry and meaningful action, in the most authentic and inspiring way.
