CAS Trip – Pera: From Past to Present
On December 6, 2024, as part of a CAS trip organized under the guidance of the CAS coordinator, 12th-grade DP students participated in an unforgettable visit to Pera. This event, themed “Pera: From Past to Present,” offered participants the opportunity to explore the region’s rich cultural and historical heritage.
The students wandered through the historic streets of Pera, examining architectural works and timeless structures in the area. Photography activities highlighted creativity, as the history-filled streets of Pera were immortalized through impressive frames captured by the students.
During the walk, students reported their step and heart rate data using their smartphones. This activity provided a meaningful experience that promoted physical activity. The program, enriched with culinary stops and cultural events, contributed to achieving CAS objectives.
At the end of the trip, the students will organize an exhibition showcasing the photos they captured and the knowledge they gained, narrating the past and present of Pera. This exhibition, under the CAS service component, aims to raise awareness within the community about cultural treasures.
This experience in Pera will be remembered as an unforgettable day where students enhanced their cultural awareness and developed creative thinking skills.
