Student success is determined by evaluating the written, oral, practical exams, homework and projects, as well as in-class and extra-curricular educational activities according to the characteristics of the course, based on the curriculum.
Teachers constantly monitor and evaluate whether students have acquired the knowledge and skills aimed at the programs through these activities. Exams can be given in the traditional format or may consist of multiple choice, matching, short answer, open ended, true/ false and completion questions. Exams are conducted as common exams and are held during the scheduled exam week. It is essential that students are given at least one oral grade from each course in a semester. Oral grades are given by evaluating students’ work in social activities, their preparation for the course, their participation, and the research and project work they carry out related to the course. Trial leaf tests and mock exams are given in order to prepare for YGS and LYS in collaboration with academic units. Following the exam results and cooperating with the school are counted as the main responsibilities of our students and parents.
Exam result analyses, which indicate student success in achieving the course objectives and student achievements can be followed on our website. Exam results are available via the system on the seventh day following the day of the exam.
Progress Evaluation Exam
In Private Irmak High School, student academic process monitoring is based on the evaluation of learning outcomes. At the end of each instructional unit, test exams to evaluate student achievement are given; the areas that need to be developed are determined, and learning outcome reinforcement and test method development activities are carried out. The final exam of the term is given as “Progress Evaluation Exam”. Through this implementation, student learning domains are measured by formative and summative assessments.

Parent – Teacher Sharing Days
Parent-student-teacher meetings to discuss the general student progress are held twice a year. Teachers communicate to parents and students on students’ progress and growth in every domain, and suggestions are shared. When necessary, meetings are held on the teachers’ meeting days by making an appointment through the appointment system on our website. Parent-teacher interviews are completed one week before the report card date.
