Introduction to Chamber Music Selections
“Chamber music” is a genre of classical music performed by a small group of musicians, typically in a small hall or room. Unlike orchestral works, each instrument plays a single part, with the ensemble’s harmony and cohesion taking center stage.
The chamber music concert titled “Selections from Classical Works,” prepared by oboe artist Levent Çolak and his students, took place on Thursday, January 16, at Irmak Cultural Center, bringing together our students. The recital featured wind instruments such as the piano, bassoon, flute, clarinet, and oboe, showcasing selected works by renowned composers like F. Chopin, F. Doppler, and C. Saint-Saëns. Our students watched the performance with great interest. This event provided an opportunity to become more acquainted with classical music and experience the harmony of different instruments.
