CAS Projects Showcase of 11 DP Students
As part of the activities to make the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program (DP) CAS experiences visible, a CAS projects showcase event was held on Friday, May 17, in the Irmak pavillon with the participation of 11DP students, teachers, and parents. In this special event, learner profile attributes such as risk-taker, thinker, inquirer, and caring, which are the basic elements of the IB DP program, and ATL skills such as research, communication, and social skills were emphasized.
Students shared the various projects they had worked on throughout the year, demonstrating both their critical thinking and community service skills in group work. The projects were evaluated within the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Ideas that will contribute to environmental, social, and economic sustainability were presented through all projects. Thanks to the projects, students had the opportunity to discover themselves even more in the creativity and activity steps, and in the service step, they expressed the needs of the entire community we live with.
Parents and teachers appreciated the creativity and responsibility of the students and emphasized the contribution of the projects to the personal and academic development of the students. Through this event, it was once again experienced how much the international-mindedness and cooperation skills of Irmak High School students have improved.
