What Happened Was Not A False Reason

11th grade students studied the story “Kuru Fasulye” by Samim Kocagöz, who has an important place among the “Socialist Realist” writers, within the scope of “The Republican Era Story” in the Turkish Language and Literature course . In addition to the studies specific to the story genre, our students carried out a bean sprouting activity in order to draw attention to the problem of hunger in the world and raise awareness based on this realistic story about the financial problems of the villagers. We would like to thank our students for their sensitivity, who aim to create a call for social awareness about the problem of world hunger, starting from the school community and spreading to wider circles as the beans sprout to be planted in our school’s ecology garden.
