An Interview With Barış Özkul On “Melville’s Silent Cry: Bartleby”.
Our Prep Class students had an in-depth reading with Barış ÖZKUL, the Classics Editor of İletişim Publishing House, about “Bartleby the Printer”, one of the pioneers of absurd literature and one of the cult works of American literature, which inspired important writers and philosophers from Kafka to Beckett, Derrida and Albert Camus.
Based on the narrative of the story, they expressed their thoughts on concepts such as “passive resistance”, “alienation”, “anti-hero”, “othering”.
