On Tuesday, October 21, our music teacher Ay\u015feg\u00fcl Furtuna organized a meaningful seminar for our 3rd and 4th grade students with the aim of conveying the values of our Republic to younger generations.<\/p>\n

During the event, Ahmed Adnan Saygun, one of the pioneering musicians of the Republican era, was introduced to the students through his works and artistic vision. The seminar began with selected scenes from the film\u00a0\u201cA Song of the Republic\u201d<\/em>, which reflects the cultural atmosphere of the early years of the Republic. Through these visuals, the students had the opportunity to connect with the music and artistic developments of that period.<\/p>\n

During the seminar, our teacher performed\u00a0\u201c\u0130nci\u201d<\/em>\u00a0on the piano, a piece from Saygun\u2019s album\u00a0\u201c\u0130nci\u2019s Book\u201d<\/em>, which was composed especially for children. Another significant part of the seminar focused on\u00a0\u201c\u00d6zsoy Opera\u201d<\/em>, the first opera composed in Turkish. Commissioned by Atat\u00fcrk and composed by Ahmed Adnan Saygun, the writing process, historical background, and cultural importance of this monumental work were shared with the students.<\/p>\n

Through this special seminar, our students had the opportunity to witness the spirit of progress during the founding years of the Republic and to experience Atat\u00fcrk\u2019s musical revolution and legacy through the music of Ahmed Adnan Saygun.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
