{"id":14972,"date":"2025-05-23T14:47:59","date_gmt":"2025-05-23T11:47:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/irmak.k12.tr\/primary\/?p=14972"},"modified":"2025-05-26T15:57:14","modified_gmt":"2025-05-26T12:57:14","slug":"a-memorable-debut-by-nil-aygen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irmak.k12.tr\/primary\/a-memorable-debut-by-nil-aygen\/","title":{"rendered":"A Memorable Debut by Nil Aygen"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]One of Turkey\u2019s leading contemporary music events, the <strong>Journey of Sound \u2013 Young Composers Festival<\/strong>, opened its doors for the 16th time this year.<br \/>\nHeld between May 2\u20134, 2025 at the Atat\u00fcrk Cultural Center with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey and contributions from the Ernst von Siemens Foundation, the festival brought together young composers and internationally acclaimed artists in an inspiring musical atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>Organized under the coordination of the <strong>Istanbul Composers Collective (ICC)<\/strong>, the festival featured works by emerging composers selected from 17 conservatories and art faculties across Turkey, all performed and archived by professional ensembles.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most memorable performances of this year\u2019s program came from our <strong>4th grade student Nil Aygen<\/strong>, with her composition titled <em>\u201cThree Poems by \u00d6zdemir Asaf.\u201d<\/em> She was accompanied on stage by her parents \u2014 renowned artists <strong>Nihan Aygen<\/strong> and <strong>Murat Aygen<\/strong> \u2014 who gave voice to the poems during the performance.
