{"id":10378,"date":"2023-01-01T22:15:50","date_gmt":"2023-01-01T22:15:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/irmak.k12.tr\/primary\/?page_id=10378"},"modified":"2023-01-12T13:00:43","modified_gmt":"2023-01-12T13:00:43","slug":"information-technology","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/irmak.k12.tr\/primary\/information-technology\/","title":{"rendered":"Information Technologies"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The purpose of the Information Technologies and Coding course; In addition to raising all students as &#8220;computer literate&#8221; regardless of their past experiences, individual differences and opportunities, it is ensured that they become individuals who can consciously implement ethical and social values, attitudes, safety, health, technology literacy while using information technologies.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Information Technologies courses primarily aim to educate students who are digital citizens. It is ensured that our students understand the basics of coding so that they can design step by step as individuals who can think analytically, produce and have high problem-solving skills using technology.<\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\">\nThe age we live in is the information age. Using computers efficiently has become an inevitable part of the thought on capturing the developments of our age.<br \/>\nThe aims of the computing lessons are, besides cultivating a technology literate student body regardless of their past lives, individual differences and their means, enabling them to reflect on ethical and social values, attitudes, security, health and technological literacy.<br \/>\nOur computing lessons are once a week for the kindergarten and primary grades 1-4. Grade 3 and 4 students can also join the IT CLUB which runs once a week but as a double session.<br \/>\nOur students are given the opportunity to follow closely the technological developments and changes through the regularly upgraded educational computer software.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It is our aim to teach the following to the Irmak School students;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Recognising basic computing hardware and their usage,<br \/>\n\u2022 Being vigilent and economical about using these technological tools,<br \/>\n\u2022 The advantages and disadvantages of using technology in daily life,<br \/>\n\u2022 To support their learning by providing resources that are suitable to their developmental level, technological, (puzzles logical thinking activities, drawing tools, writing tools)<br \/>\n\u2022 Enabling development in creativity, problem solving, communication, research and inquiry skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Adapting cooperation and respect as a way of using Information Technologies<br \/>\n\u2022 Mastering terminology on information technology<br \/>\n\u2022 Effective use of the processing systems,<br \/>\n\u2022 Introducing network systems and teahing its structure,<br \/>\n\u2022 Introducing Internet and using emails for projects based on cooperation<br \/>\n\u2022 Enabling efficient and correct use of MS Office programs<br \/>\n\u2022 Enabling identification of the problems they can face and the strategic solutions applicable<br \/>\n\u2022 Learning the easiest and shortest route to reach and apply information<br \/>\n\u2022 Developing individual productivity and supporting their cooperation in groups<br \/>\n\u2022 Introducing multimedya and support tools where they can produce work using their creativity and present these using visual technology.<br \/>\n\u2022 Teaching diffrent file types and their use in different programmes.<br \/>\n\u2022 Developing the right keyboard skills and increasing typing speed by using typing programmes.<br \/>\n\u2022 Cultivating youth who are; self confident, able to use technology in their lives both in the class and home environment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The purpose of the Information Technologies and Coding course; In addition to raising all students as &#8220;computer literate&#8221; regardless of their past experiences, individual differences and opportunities, it is ensured that they become individuals who can consciously implement ethical and social values, attitudes, safety, health, technology literacy while using information technologies.
