{"id":16748,"date":"2026-05-21T15:18:38","date_gmt":"2026-05-21T12:18:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/irmak.k12.tr\/middle\/?p=16748"},"modified":"2026-05-21T15:19:49","modified_gmt":"2026-05-21T12:19:49","slug":"from-ideas-to-action-ib-myp-community-project-showcase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irmak.k12.tr\/middle\/from-ideas-to-action-ib-myp-community-project-showcase\/","title":{"rendered":"From Ideas to Action:  IB MYP Community Project Showcase"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The IB MYP Community Project process carried out at Irmak Okullar\u0131 Middle School was successfully completed as an important learning experience designed to support students not only academically, but also in developing responsibility, collaboration, problem-solving, and reflective thinking skills.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the process, students were encouraged to actively apply the IB learner profile attributes and ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills, supporting their growth as independent, caring, and inquiry-driven individuals. The project topics, selected by Grade 7 students in September, were carefully developed through regular meetings, research, planning, and implementation processes guided by mentor teachers until May.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of this meaningful and long-term learning journey, 40 different projects were presented to students, teachers, and parents during the exhibition held on Saturday, May 16, at the Irmak Okullar\u0131 campus. Through their projects, students raised awareness about community needs while gaining hands-on experience in planning, creating solutions, and taking individual responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>This real-life learning experience enabled students to strengthen not only their academic abilities, but also their communication, self-management, research, and critical thinking skills.
