{"id":10589,"date":"2023-01-10T11:27:19","date_gmt":"2023-01-10T11:27:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/irmak.k12.tr\/middle\/?page_id=10589"},"modified":"2024-03-07T14:37:02","modified_gmt":"2024-03-07T11:37:02","slug":"turkish","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/irmak.k12.tr\/middle\/turkish\/","title":{"rendered":"Turkish"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Irmak Middle School&#8217;s text-oriented approach to Turkish language teaching incorporates major works of Turkish and world literature to help students understand the language&#8217;s manifestations in different contexts, enrich their feelings, thoughts, and imaginations by accessing different sources of information, and express themselves with confidence. Grammar, reading-comprehension, listening-watching, speaking and writing acquisition are approached from a holistic perspective by linking these acquisitions to texts in a coherent structure. The works studied from this perspective allow students to develop aesthetic values, to understand the importance of language, and to recognize individual and social values.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Activities and differentiated practices are implemented to develop students&#8217; cognitive skills such as &#8220;thinking, understanding, sorting, classifying, questioning, making connections, critiquing, predicting, analyzing-synthesizing, and evaluating&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In line with the goals of our department, traditional events such as &#8220;Dil Bayram\u0131, Gen\u00e7 Kalemler Cumhuriyeti Yaz\u0131yor, Children&#8217;s Rights Panel, Speech Contest, Author Interviews, Greeting Card Campaign, National Culture Day, World Dictionary Day, World Story Day, World Poetry Day, Book Hero Revival&#8221;, excursions planned with an interdisciplinary approach related to the books that are read and clubs that support the social and emotional development of students (Philosophy Club, Creative Drama and Theater Club, Magazine Club, Radio and Voice Over Club, Debate Club. &#8230;) are organized. In addition, the magazine &#8220;Mavi&#8221; is published at the end of the year.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With these studies, we want our students to<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To develop language skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing, visual reading and visual presentation,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To ensure that they use the Turkish language correctly and effectively,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To enrich vocabulary by developing intertextual thinking skills,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To develop basic skills such as scientific, constructive, critical and creative thinking, self-expression, communication, cooperation, problem solving and entrepreneurship,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To develop skills in accessing, using and interpreting information,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To ensure that students attach importance to national, spiritual, moral, historical, cultural, social, aesthetic and artistic values,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To enable them to recognize Turkish and world culture through written and oral products.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To enable them to acquire the love and habit of reading and writing.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Irmak Middle School&#8217;s text-oriented approach to Turkish language teaching incorporates major works of Turkish and world literature to help students understand the language&#8217;s manifestations in different contexts, enrich their feelings, thoughts, and imaginations by accessing different sources of information, and express themselves with confidence.
