{"id":9792,"date":"2022-12-25T13:07:44","date_gmt":"2022-12-25T13:07:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/irmak.k12.tr\/kindergarten\/?page_id=9792"},"modified":"2025-10-20T11:44:29","modified_gmt":"2025-10-20T08:44:29","slug":"primary-years-programme-pyp-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/irmak.k12.tr\/kindergarten\/primary-years-programme-pyp-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Primary Years Programme (PYP)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\">PYP, the primary years program, is one of four of the IBO\u2019s programs.\u00a0 The PYP program, which includes students between 3 and 12 years of age, aims to challenge and interest students with it\u2019s\u00a0 relevant and\u00a0 transdisciplinary curriculum.\u00a0 PYP authorization is a process that results from the cooperation and hard work of the school community.\u00a0 In the beginning, the school informs the IB that it wants to apply the program.\u00a0 The IB specialists look at the school\u2019s educational philosophy and its physical environment.\u00a0 \u00a0Candidate schools have to organize PYP training the academic staff.\u00a0 When the academic staff prepares the program of inquiry, the whole school community is informed about the program\u2019s philosophy.\u00a0 Irmak Schools successfully completed all stages of the PYP authorization on May 14th, 2008 and since then Irmak Schools has been an IB World School.<\/div>\n<div class=\"text-justify\">\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/irmak.k12.tr\/kindergarten\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/irmak_pyp_veli_kitapcigi_eng.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Our school inquiry programs<\/a>\u00a0are implemented with the Ministry of Education from Kindergarten to 4th grade.\u00a0 Our school supports the participation of all students in the program.\u00a0 This program balances improving the conceptional understanding, knowledge, skills and taking action.\u00a0 The program creates a learning environment that results in creative learning and nurtures international minded individuals rather than presenting knowledge to be learned in order.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The program explores national and international subjects in transdisciplinary themes to improve research, communication, and critical thinking skills as well as attitudes that encourage respect, tolerance, responsibility, and taking action in social service.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;11771&#8243;
